This one was knitted in Freedom Sincere D.K. organic cotton, shade I am unsure of as the yarn was in the bargain bin and total cost was £2 to knit using 1 1/2 balls.
It is lovely soft cotton and washed well.

This darker one was knitted in the lovely Rowan Wool cotton and I used 2 1/4 balls. I knitted this one without the pattern insert and just did the garter stitch. I like it plain and the buttons were out of my collection of bits.

I knitted the second size in Sirdar Luxury soft D.K cotton and I hated the yarn. It was really splitty and quite hard. Again it was in the bargain bin costing £2.50 to knit and I used nearly 2 balls.
There are more pictures here.
The pattern is free. Please let me know if you knit it, I would love to see! Or if you have any problems with the pattern I will try to help.
Please email me if you would like it and I will send it as a PDF.

Pretty little jackets - I wish I had a baby to knit for *sigh* x
PS: I should add that I don't wish for a baby of my own to knit for! :-O
It's adorable! Baby clothes are just the cutest thing to make, aren't they!
I would love a copy. My email should be in the comment, but just in case, it's amyhood21ATgmailDOTcom.
To link to PDF patterns on my sidebar, I first set up a google page (go to google pages)--it's not public, I never published the google page, but I uploaded the PDF there. Now it's hosted and I have a link. When you click on the hyperlink in my sidebar, it simply brings up the PDF. I think you can also upload them to Ravelry after jumping through a few hoops (getting yourself named a seller, I think, or designer, or maybe both?).
It's a sweet little sweater, and I have a baby girl due in October. :-) Thank you for sharing.
That's beautiful, well done. Thank you for sending the book, I'm so glad it was of use.
Ruby xx
Gorgeous! I would love a copy too.
Luckily I know of 8 pregnant women at the moment so hopefully I should get a chance to try out the pattern. Thanks Lin!
Cute pattern! I'll have to wait till another of my relatives has a baby though. :(
That is such a pretty little jacket and I've just had a new grandaughter with two more expected before Christmas!! I'll let you know when I knit one!
Thanks for sharing the pattern.
So cute. I love the pattern...I wish someone I knew had a wee female child...I have two girlfriends pregnant; maybe, just maybe...I also adore the cute buttons.
These are so darling! If only I had someone to knit it for.
Oh, I know a couple of babies who will look adorable in one of these - thank you Lin! It's perfect!
Very sweet! I really like the mis-matched buttons. It gives is a vintage feel. LOVE it!

It is so sweet! I especially love the wool cotton one with the coloured buttons - fabulous touch!
Cute!Cute!Cute! I wish I had a tiny little baby to knit for. Great job Lin.
oh Lin, it is delicious...I think my Granddaughter would look good in this! (she's Barry's Granddaughter really but I'm married to him now lol)
What a lovely little sweater! My son and DIL are hoping for a baby girl, so English Summer will be on my list to knit if their wish comes true.
That's a really nice pattern - I especially like the colour of the darker version. Shame about the Sirdar cotton - I nearly bought some a couple of weeks ago, and I'm now very glad I didn't.
BTW, I've just started a knitting blog, and I've been surprised and delighted at the number of knitting blogs I've found so far - especially UK-based blogs.
Beautiful. I know a little girl that this would be just right for!
Thank you so much for your generosity in posting this.
CaroljMany thanks for sharing this pattern - hope to knit it for my son's best friend's baby due soon.

Well done you!!! Lovely of you to share it :)
It's gorgeous!!!! I'll be making it, a few peeps O know are having babies or have little girls:-)
I like your use of color. When I knit for babies, I try to avoid the standard pastels. Nice.

These are so cute! I especially love the purple one. Thank you for sharing the pattern with us all.
It looks fabulous. I am going to knit it even though there's no baby in the house. People are always being very obliging about reproducing.
Brilliant! What a great practical cardi. Now I just have to find a baby to knit it for.

Cute pattern, I Love the darker knit in garter stitch. This is Def on my to do list. X
Just found your blog via Bells and what a treat this has been! I love what you do and especially the comment on your front page about trying to stay focused on 'your' craft. I am guilty of faaaar too many diverse projects on the go. Isn't it funny when you come across someone who likes similar things to you, is probably the same age and has the same name! (and also recently lost a similar amout of weight!)
I'll be back!
PS what is the large size of your adorable cardi? - and congrats on having it published.
Cheers,
Lynda
