Gold Swallowtail shawl.

Have you ever knitted an item to go with an accessory?

Swallowtail Shawl in Oxford Kitchen Yarns naturally dyed sock yarn.

The perfect size for a scarf or shoulder warmer.

Took one skein but I omitted the last couple of peaked edge rows and was left with a metre of yarn. It was a scary cast off!

Knitted on size 5 mm circulars.

It reminds me off the yellow and black Swallowtails we saw as children camping in France.

And it is the first time that I have finished a knit for project spectrum!

Really beautiful work and quick to boot! Love the little broach as well - very apt for the shawl!

It's gorgeous. I would never have picked a yellow for it, but you know, it makes perfect sense! :)

Queen- I adore the Swallowtail shawl- the pattern really underestimated the amount of yarn.

Love the colour.

Beautiful! I'm never attracted to yellow or gold skeins, but I often find myself loving others' yellowy FOs.

That really is lovely! What a beautiful work of art. Did you really knit that to go with the pin? That's too funny!

SO fabulous!! Love the matching pin and phew on the cast-off - did you do it really really slow, or really really fast?? (I think I'd do it faster, because that makes the yarn longer!!! At least with my warped logic it does!)

WOW! I love it. I absolutely love it. I started this once and got sidetracked before more than a few rows. I must try again because yours is so elegant that I want one too! And yay for solids. Works a treat!

That's so beautiful, and so funny about the brooch! I've bought clothes to go with my handknits, but that's about as far as it's gone so far!
