The end of ...

... soctoberfest, me not recieving any post and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

First up are the lovely Embossed Leaves socks from Interweave knits. I finished these this morning and loved knitting them, especially the toe. There was no grafting as it was a star like toe with decreases. I have never done one like that before and it creates a lovely rounded toe.
The yarn was the Hipknits sock cashmere which is so soft on size 2.5 mm addi needles magic looped.
They are a gift so no modelled shot I am afraid.

Terri had a raffle for raising funds for charity when she did the Great North Run. Look what I won...I will have fun Kool Aid dyeing!

This was something I bought with birthday money and had been waiting for in the post, it is fantastic! It is a sock knitting box pouch hand made by Knittiotherapy a great Etsy seller. If you go to the link you can see it better as her pictures are more detailed.
I can fit 2 lots of sock yarn, needles, scissors, tape measure and everything else that I use to knit socks with in it.
It is so well made (I think that I will leave sewing to the experts!) Thank you for your kind comments about my wierd bag in the previous post, my son has put his clock in it and it fits perfectly!

For my charity comments I had 435 comments, that is fantastic and thank you all so much for taking the time to comment. That means that I will donate £21.75 to Cancer research uk.

I drew all the names out of a hat (yes, that was a nightmare trying to sort out all the names from 435 comments!!)and the winner of the sock yarn is Dipsy. Please could you email me Dipsy to arrange me sending it to you.

Oh those socks are soooo beautiful. I alkways feel a bit odd modelling my gift socks but I can't resist seeing them on the foot :o) I should point out that I do wash them afterwards!

Have fun with the dyeing I do fancy trying that.

Well done on the donation for Cancer Research.

Well done on your charity fundraising!

I love your socks, and I'm afraid to say that mucky little me wouldn't hesitate to try them on, even if they were for someone else!

I've also just come across the 'star' toe, so I'll be trying that one out soon.

Wow - you have been busy this Socktober and well done you for your charitable efforts! I love the socks and it was so interesting to see the difference a needle size made to the pooling of the yarn. I think the elephant bag is really cute even if not as planned!
